Fail With Me - Defeating Failure
Wednesday Jul 31, 2024
Wednesday Jul 31, 2024
Stories and Stanza is a montage of inspiring real-life stories.
I started this series, 'Fail With Me,' on my podcast to talk about failure in life and building resilience. So far in this series, I have spoken with therapists, behaviourists, writers, and educators and have felt enriched by their lives, knowledge, and attitudes. However, I must say that speaking with today's guest had such a strong impact on me. As someone who has experienced the loss of her son, faced homelessness for a period of time, underwent the angst of separation and then lost sense and control of the dominant side of her body because of a stroke, her story told me that life didn't fail her but her undeniable spirit defeated failure.
Before we start today's episode, I want to say a few words about our guest. Her journey is a testament to how strong a person can truly be. I started this series, 'Fail With Me', to talk about failure in life and building resilience. However, I must say that speaking with Alma had such a strong impact on me. Wednesday Jul 24, 2024
Wednesday Jul 24, 2024
Today, we have Alice Rizzi, a psychologist and mindfulness coach from New York, as our guest.
She creates courses and programs that help people experience more joy, peace, and freedom in their everyday lives. Alice believes mindfulness is a superpower and is on a mission to educate as many people as possible about the benefits they can experience when they make it a daily practice. She believes that more mindful individuals will contribute to more peaceful and loving communities where we can all thrive.
Today's episode is very special, as I do not host this one. I requested my long-time friend Ananya to take over as co-chair to have this chat with Alice. Ananya has promised to come back from time to time to help me accommodate guests from the US, especially from the East, as the time overlap with Australia is a little challenging.
Feel free to reach out to Alice through social media:

It's Great to Fail - Brooke Bownes
Wednesday Jul 17, 2024
Wednesday Jul 17, 2024
Please join me in welcoming Brooke Bownes for today's episode. She is an accredited trauma coach, therapist and global No.1 bestselling author. She works with ambitious women who struggle with feeling stuck and want to get unstuck and heal those inner child wounds, find their power and confidence and release their trauma so they can go for their goals.
She is passionate about this as she once felt powerless and scared to show up in the world as herself. She then started working on her mindset, discovered who she was and loved the feeling of inner contentment and confidence. She went from being scared to speaking on stage. She had an abusive relationship growing up with a narcissistic mother and moved on to two abusive relationships. She has been homeless, I brought up 4 children single-handedly, and she has a unique way of understanding people where they are and helping them to find their power. She discovered how to rewire her mind and regulate her nervous system, release her trauma so I could achieve the dreams she wanted to achieve, and now I help people do the same by helping them. She now lives in a beautiful house with her husband and runs a successful business whilst having fun on adventures in her campervan.

About This Podcast
I am a software engineer with a creative spree and the heart to make a difference. I live in Melbourne with my family and enjoy photography and creative writing.
Inspired by the quote from Rainer Maria Rilke, "If your daily life seems poor, do not blame it — blame yourself for not being poet enough to call forth its riches." I created this podcast to bring out the real stories that make life as beautiful as poetry. I'll take you on a journey through the human experience, sharing stories and conversations to uplift your spirit. Here are the key 3 areas on this podcast.:
-
In Author's chair: where I talk to writers about their journey. or upcoming publication
-
Fail With Me: Where I explore what failure truly is and link it with emotional intelligence.
-
Oh! Past, speak out: Where I talk about forgotten chapters of history.
